We have complete our entire project.All that we need to do left is our Failure Mode Effects Analysis which is how doing something to the project effects the project.We also have a couple minor things.But we also have to create a final product which will be a 3D printed object which is what we must decide and print.

Our goal this week is to find the minimum and maximum measurements for objects.We have 5 centimeters as our minimum for length and width and the minimum height is 4 centimeters.Our maximum is however big we want it to be.We can also change the size of the box which will allow for bigger objects to be scanned.This allowed us to accomplish our goal of creating a 3D scanner and we figured out the minimum and maximum measurements.
So far we are figuring out the smallest measurements possible.The smallest that we have figured out so far is above 5 1/2 on all sides of the object.We are also trying to figure out the largest size possible for the objects scanned.This is our plan for this week.
We used two band stands and put them at an angle.This made the scan come out well.There was no noise in our scan.This was great.
Today we are scanning again.We are trying to get this down because we will be getting supplies very soon and want to get this down.This is what our plan is for today.This is the hardest part of creating a 3d scanner.We have to make sure we don't move too fast or it will mess us up forever like I've said before.Once we get the supplies the goal is much different from this, we will just be trying to get a working machine.
We are trying to scan objects accurately.This is a struggle.We are trying to get rid of the noise while waiting to get supplies for our rig for our scanner.We will be trying to get rid of noise until we get the supplies for it.
Today we made a folder.This is to put all our information in and such.This will help us for future reference.We are going to put our project blueprints and our supplies needed in this folder as well.Tomorrow, we will get to work on figuring out how to get our machine to work and getting our materials.Such as this cake spinner to put the object being scanned on.
Today we are working on blueprints to create a 3d studio.We are creating two tripods to lift the scanner and the objects off the ground, this will get rid of the noise in the scans.James the Chief Research officer is figuring out the dimensions needed to make this work.With the tripods we will put platforms on top of them.Then this way it can create a place to set the scanner and scanned object.On one tripod will be the cake spinner with the object scanned on it.Nnamdi the CEO will be working on the platform and cake spinner machine.This is to tie a string to the cake spinner to move it without physically moving it and causing noise. This project is to make a 3d scanner out of kinect and computer programs.We have downloaded SDK v1.6 and Skanect.So far we have been trying to scan objects to use to see if it is ready to work.We are trying to scan a shoe right now.It is a complex process because you have to move it slowly and the slightest wrong movement during scanning can make you start all over again.Now we're trying to find a way to scan it without all the stuff in the background and such bugging it.We have plans to finish the problems with scanning in the next couple weeks.We are going to use this to help a group make chromebook keys.This is our plan this week.
